Yangqing and Doggy

2024 Summer

" I had no intention of getting a cat, at least not during the time I met Doggy."

The first time I met Doggy I was in my second year of college, because of health reasons need to do a small surgery so take a leave of absence from home, it was during that time, my grandmother did not allow me to be stuck at home every day, persuade me to go out for a walk, and then there was Doggy.

Doggy is a stray cat, he is always lying in front of a supermarket at an intersection, thin and small curled up into a pile, half-squinted eyes tongue spit in the mouth, near the mouth is also dirty, the body hair are locks, around the pungent smell of sour odor, usually leisurely sunbathing in front of the appearance, but people walk past the eyes will immediately become harsh.

I bought a ham sausage in the supermarket next to feed him, he ate hard, and fed other stray cats are not the same, other cats will take the food away, or eat quickly, but Doggy did not, he ate very hard, the meat is not bitten off, it is torn, put into the mouth without chewing and swallowed, I really feel sorry for the ham sausage, I crushed it in my hand and then fed it to him, he ate it down faster only a I really feel sorry for him. After eating, he was still rubbing back and forth at my feet, but he was still smelling bad, and I didn’t want to be responsible for a strange creature, so I left without touching him.

But on that day the gears of fate were already turning, the section of the road where I walked every day was not fixed, many times it was just a whim, turning left and right at any time, from that day onwards, I could not help but always go to that intersection, and the next day it would be a lie to say that I did not have any expectations, because I had brought cat strips with me, so to speak, just to look for him.

So on and so forth for a few days, he became the meaning of my daily walk out the door, from my grandmother urging me to go out the door every day, to me looking forward to going out the door every day.
